a confuzing poem which kind of jumps around
Always Afraid
I don’t always understand my mind
I look in the shadows and cracks
Always afraid of what I might find

They say to always look forward, but my gaze is drawn behind
Drip, drip. The candle will always be nothing but wax.
I don’t always understand my mind

I must not continue this grind
the whispers of the dark say I lack.
I am always afraid of what I might find

his head is slightly inclined
silently taking in all of the facts
I don’t understand my mind

only given the rind
because there is too much tax
I am always afraid of what I might find.

I sneak up behind
Readying myself to stab through a few more backs
I don’t understand my mind
and I am always afraid of what I might find.
