Writer's Cramp entry 2/18/04
New Prompt: On request of The Milkman (4) we are going to write a triolet. Topic: walking.

How to write:The Triolet

The triolet is an old French form that is short and witty or more traditionally romantic. It has 8 lines in the rhyming scheme abaaabab. The first two lines (ab) and the last two lines(ab) are the same, as well as the first line and the fourth.

Sore Feet

Well forward of the next waiting hill
Is a respite from this tiring walk
The feet are sore, but they travel still
Well forward of the next waiting hill
I look for stamina, I look for will
To make it to that welcome rock
Well forward of the next waiting hill
Is a respite from this tiring walk.
