When memories of a past spent with someone special overwhelms you...
I hear voices of those days when we walked hand in hand
Yes, those were the best days of my life with you and me together
Then, didn’t you blush like a young girl who had her first kiss?
It was filled with innocence and that made it sweeter to cherish.
Afar, beyond the window I could see birds gliding toward their destination
And I indeed had carved my own destiny, for you were with me.
Filled was I with the joy of youth, vain as a small child who was satiated.
Never did I brood over murky thoughts for they never existed for me.
With you here what storms could possibly wash us off shore?
For you shone like a lighthouse beacon emitting beams afar.
Life was Edenic bliss for you and me, coz we were in delight. Now that face of yours in that portrait smiles at me
As though you belonged to a different time and space
Etched are you in your glorious beauty that now seems ghostly.
Filling me with wonder and all such akin hues of feelings.
Aren’t you with me even now though you transcended this existence?
I still hear your violin’s music and your laughter that the winds bring
When darkness creeps, I see different minuscule of you looking at me
Are they silhouettes of yours? Or is my mind playing games?
Now you must be happy in that cozy world of yours, right?
Or do you descend here in search of me to take me along?
