Why
Do you
Sing my praise
When I know not
What is my station
In the wide scheme of things ...

Why do you worship me
I ain't Almighty
And nor am I
Powerful
on your
Earth.

Why
Do you
Lie prostrate
Before this God
Made from stone and steel
Who says nothing - just stares

Anytime, anyplace, anywhere;
Look at me and see
I pray to none,
I live free
from your
Chains.
