Seeing the desert green

It is spring time in the desert
What a magnificent sight to see
A glorious flower blooming
Styling the nub of a cactus

Cirrus clouds dangling, bumping
Together, in a baby blue sky
Blowing over the mountains
On a gentle breeze

Saguaro standing as sentinels
Making homes for cactus wren
Heavenly scents wafting wide
The desert temporarily turns green
