Traveling along a relationship's bumpy road.... living today for today.
The Road Uneven

Moments lost but not forgotten,
Times we could have shared, but no,
Hours dropped, the wasted magic,
' Love we lost, we'll never know.

For even though our minds are steadfast,
Even though the clock is mute,
Greedy is the silent hourglass...
Loneliness we can't refute.

So if the opportunity is open,
If we have the chance to meet,
Let's take that chance and find the other,
Let our hearts together beat.

For when we're old and time has passed us,
When the rivers have run dry
We won't look back at wasted chances
Feeling pain that made us cry.

We'll know we grabbed what lay before us,
Took the time to drive the miles
Even when the road, uneven,
Made it tough to break a smile.
