A Poem about a fading memory, lost love
Sacred Dreams

Your footsteps echo
In the emptiness of my memory
Your voice haunts me
Deep within the loneliness of my heart

I have ventured like a gypsy
Searching for someone to replace you
Knowing I had you close to me once
And let you slip through my embrace
For lack of tenacity
Afraid of the passion you stir inside me

I have waited on the fringes of your life
Witness to your transitions
Reinventing yourself with the regularity
Of a butterfly emerging from the chrysalis
There are no coincidences here, no regrets

The missing soul mate
In every generation
There is a chosen one

I’ll never judge you
I can only love you

From the corners of this continent
Navigating 3 different oceans
Crossing the 45th parallel one too many times
It’s your move now
Come to me
