And again another poem
While you are sleeping I watch you,
I watch over you
Protect you
Wishing I could remove all the hurt
from the past
I wonder sometimes what you are
Dreaming about, I hope it's me…
at least sometimes anyway.

While you are sleeping I hold you,
I feel the softness of your skin
The scent in your hair
Holding you is like holding a warm
Summers breeze, hoping that I can
remove all the fears and at the same time
giving comfort by wearing my arms
around you as if they were armor.
I hope the beating of my heart doesn't
wake you because it thunders in my chest
so loud. If my heart thunders as loud
as I love you I will surely wake the house…
My apologies in advance

While you are sleeping I think about you,
What does the future hold, what did I
do to deserve a woman whom I would have
only dreamed about…if this is only a dream
I don't want to wake up
I think of the future
I think of us
I think

While you are sleeping I steal a few moments for
myself and I want you to know, in all of those
moments I have come to the same realization I
always seem to arrive at…you make me want
to be a better man and I will because you mean
that much to me.
