Sometimes the way you feel overwhelmed in Life.
Shattered Rainbows

By:Pipinheart

I am old you can see it in my eyes
tiny pieces remain of who I was
fighting a loosing battle
of what remains unseen

Listening to the sound of children's laughter
To a lovers warm embrace
I live outside the circle
And close my eyes and weep

Who am I anymore?
I hold no answers
I see no doors
Only the chains, which are bond to the floor

I am a rainbow shattered across the sky
I watch and wait, as I seem to die
Chrystal fragments drop to the sky
Like broken glass, they'll cut you if you hold them

Bleeding from a wound, that will not heal
I cover it up though the blood still flows
Listen to it drip onto the ground
Feeling the life drain from my soul

Where is the end to this constant pain?
Will I ever feel joy, lost from this game?
Can you recall the voice in the dark
Willing you to survive, till the morning light

Can you catch a fallen rainbow?
In the palm of your hand
How do you mend the light that is broken?
If all you do is drown in the rain

You are trapped, with no way out
So you reach out an invisible hand
Hoping someone will clasp it tight
And pick up a grain that was once a rainbow
