I miss you but I'm getting over you type of poem.
Sometimes I wanna call you.
But I don’t.
Sometimes I cry.
Other times I’m fine.
Sometimes I’m happy.
And sometimes I’m angry at you.

And if I called you what would you say?
Say “Your sorry?”
Say “Fuck you” and hang up?
What would you say?
Do even have any thing to say?

You were killing me inside.
Did you know?
Did you care?
Do you care?
And if I died tomorrow would care?
Would attend my funeral?
Would it be then that you see my worth and value?
Did I mean anything to you?
I seem to forget.

I wanted a King to stand head to head, toe to toe to me.
You wanted a scarlet, a whore, a mistress.
That’s not me and it’s not gonna be me.
Now you’re alone on your thrown.
Rule your empire well my lord.

For the road a head looks lonely
But I’ll be fine.
I want hold you again
But I know better.
I’m better off without you my love
But I’m better because of you.

Did you know that? (Thought but not said.)
