june bugs

By mistake, I stepped on my last one.
The first was slammed in a door.
Another found its way into breakfast-
I don't play with him anymore.

My seventh proved too fragile
When I gave a hug to him.
And the twelfth was fun to run with,
But I guess he couldn't swim.

And now my Summer's lonely.
I'm by myself again.
So I was kind of wondering...
Will you be my friend?
