The Addiction of Hope

Oh the sky is black, blacker than night
But it's day, there should be light...

Where has the light gone to?
Where have you gone to?

It's worse than Hell, now we're all dying
It's worse than justice, we're all lying

And just give me love, give me hate
Give me whatever you will before it's too late

Utopia is here and it's killing our will
We want you to bring us back that thrill

Don't forget to say hello to the old salvation
And bring a new one to induce our salivation

Clouds are raining and it's acid pouring down
It's the lime lust that's rusted this town

Forgive me if I don't want your new tolerance
We just want a drug to place us in a trance

Opium, Mushroom, Cocaine would suit us well
Lust, Envy, or Jealousy would also ring the bell

Never forget I told you these things tomorrow
So you'll come yesterday and erase our sorrow

Oh the sky is black, blacker than night
And there's no ray of hope in our sight!
