absent meaning, absent pain
Often, there is an insistance
on a "reason"-
a random association to ease emptiness,
imagined pink and periwinkle horizons
on which to fixate longing gazes.

Yet it is possible
to live the patterns of
dream and waking
in absence of an enslaved "why".

Void can be comforting.

Transient meaning
allows for ample satisfaction,
prevents the ache of standards
and misplaced hope.

No point exists in
anthropomorphizing eternity.
It holds no intentions.
Fleeing for a zen-drenched garden
is for fools. There can be
no epic travels
when nowhere is the destination.

Peace comes with the
absinthe simplicity of knowing
that nothing and forever
are aligned.
