It's the mournful cry of a divorced and dying father
Smoke is in our eyes
As the tears fall
In rememberence of
what we once had
and wondering
where has it been?

Perhaps one of these days
Lust will overcome all
and tell us we were wrong
Tonight at the crossroads
We stand apart
the look of defiance
in each others eyes
In the morning you and I
awake with strangers between our legs
And the bittersweet taste
of love betrayed
As we wonder
if all we've known has died?

ENSLAVED!
Pagan beliefs
But I always felt
Christ was never real!
And so I walk
the halls of Purgatory with
in the palm of my bloody hands
the broken, yet beating hearts of my children

I'm alone
nothing I do or say
is worth a damn
And the sun is black
it's all I know
Happiness is a ghost,
one I've never known
And so life goes on for others
as I walk these halls

A great call went out
and we went to answer as
the sun bleeds and days weep
for the dreams of the Gods
and the seas part and skies open
a great rain and flood
And so it begins
Again and again!
Behind our own walls in the clouds
Jesus laughs
at each and every one of us
who twist and turn, force God to become
nothing short of a tool
to bring life to the monster being
