A Question I had one day...

What is happines but an idea?
It's nothing tangible, takes no true form
why then is life hinged on happiness?
Our very existance spent hoping that true happiness is just around the corner.
But, if happiness has no true form than whose to say we've finally found it?

People say the teenage years are the lost years
I think it is because it's during these years that we are trying to find ourselves.
In finding ourselves I hope we can find happiness
But during these dark years are we doomed to a time of depression and despair?
And if not, how can we hope to know happiness without knowing ourselves?

Its all very puzzling and none of the peices seems to fit.
with no outline of what happiness truly is it seems I'll never fully know it.
And this brings the question of is happiness an idea un to itself or is it part of a larger idea?

I once heard said happiness is but a peice of contentment. If thats true then I hope to one day be content
It makes sense
Noone is doomed to eternal night
you can always find some scrap of happiness in the darkest of night
Some happy moment in the past years of your life

So to this a whole new list of questions arise.
contentment, is it even achievable?
If contentment surpasses happiness is the thought even wholly concievable?
I cry to think its not
In all the despair I've expierienced, all the unhappiness, I shudder to think I'm one of the lucky ones.
How unfair it all is

Happiness I suppose is attainable, but only at a price, like everything else
The price is finding it
Going through the despair that must come before the happiness
Alas, I hope I find it because Despair is dark and I've always shined brightest in the light.
