farnsworth, my german sheperd shared a pet column for the local newspaper.
You have hair all over your body and face,
you fit into my life with such perfect grace.

You see me, your tail wags left to right,
I know you love, your eyes glow with light.

And when I am feeling sad and down,
I look at you, and can see you frown.

Your soft brown eyes are gazing up at me,
and you're searching hard as you can, to see.

You look inside my soul to find the cause,
you start to play, but then instead you pause.

You come and lay your head beside me then,
and soon I can feel myself starting to grin.

It's so hard to be sad when you're around,
because I feel bad when I am letting you down.

You notice the difference and go get the ball,
and then things don't seem as bad after all.

The love you have for me I can see so clear,
and I feel so much safer when you are near.
