If only you could forget to love them.
What if...

No more tears to fall for you,
No more pain for my regrets,
Nothing more to be remembered,
Only past do I forget.

Your photo I just toss aside,
Toss away without a care,
No longer carried with me,
Not a glance, I do not dare.

Letting go of you is easy,
Images erased within my mind,
Etched not your name upon my heart,
My breath no longer thine.

Your voice no longer whispers,
To me upon the wind,
Your laughter banished by the sun,
No caress to yearning skin.

My hands now finished pleading,
their touch upon your face,
My body no longer heading,
the warmth of your embrace.

I do not sink,I do not stumble,
I do not sigh, or ache or crumble,
Thoughts and feelings merely mumble,
An undertone of truth.

Remnants of fears begin to fade,
In my dreams I bid adieu,
What if....it were that easy,
What if...I didn't love you.
