A simple poem on how a name isn't who you are.
Life gives people many different names,
         Good, bad, funny.
But a name is just a name,
         You are who you are.

Parent give children different names,
         First, middle, last.
But a name is just a name,
         You are who you are.

Friends give friends different names,
         Nicknames, joking names, stupid names,
But a name is just a name,
         You are who you are.

Everybody gives somebody a name,
         Friendly, hurtful, strange.
But a name is just a name,
         You are who you are.

A name is just a name,
         Just a name,
Not who you are.
         You are who you are.
