Just a few lines on the chill of Fall
Step outside
Inhale deeply
Let the cold air coat the lungs.

The mind enters a moment of grief for summer gone,
then thrills to the thought of winter's welcome.

Soon brightly colored leaves will drop.
Trees will bare their branches to icicles and wild winds.

The mind enters a moment of calm for autumn's arrival,
Then thrills to the thought of crunching leaves,
crisp air and autumn's first frost.

Summer just a memory,
Planting season finished.
The cocooning of early sunsets and warm blankets
will prepare us for next year's new arrivals.
