Entry For Stormy Lady's Weekly Contest
I am about to walk down
this dusty road, which divides
just outside my door,
I know that miracles open
it, and that I fought hard for them,
somehow gaining the strength I have
needed to see them come to pass.

I think on how God has
not chosen to ABANDON me.

When a new direction is taken,
like the one I have,
I put my best foot forward,
knowing I am a winner in the
game of women's politics
surely because in these
wholesome days, I hang on your
very words, remedies to
life's ailments.

Obstacles have vanished in my
dreams, your movements like cures
for my ignorance.
Nonchalant at the endeavours of
others might have made me weak
and LIFELESS, but now, in the
aftermath of all you have
offered me, I EMERGE triumphant.
I have gained the courage to say,
"Thank You!"
