Why must a broken heart bleed so much?
Poetic justice has been rendered.
Lost among the riffs, lost in the sea.
Happiness is so far gone, never to be seen again.
Had it once, but I lost it when you came.
Wanted what I couldn't have, didn't what I could.
Lost you among the riffs, lost you to the sea.
I watch you struggle against the current;
I try to help, but we are so far apart.
You no longer want what I have to offer,
and you think you can do it alone.
I watch you struggle, being violently tossed about in the storm.
I watch you pulled under, never to be seen again.
Your body never resurfaces,
I can never tell you how I felt.
You're lost among the riffs,
You're lost to the bottom of the sea.
