A special star to guide us, a shape poem
Star,
shining far
above
the
sorrowing
world with no
hope or joy found,
come to guide us through
the dark and dreary night.
We fear so that light no longer
may be seen in life which many are not
able  to hold dear, for sadness  weighs
all we feel. We search for happiness, but it
hides while peace stays concealed from our souls.
Surely somewhere,  love will still reach out to touch, to calm
hearts and lives with its soothing presents of faith, hope, and charity.
Where is the star that guided wise men over thousands of unknown miles,
thru darkness, ignorance, strife? Why does it cover its face with clouds of pain?
Ahh, if we but open our eyes and see the star still shining, leading, waiting for us
to step away from doubt, to seek the way where we shall find the enchantment of the wonderful dreams
that  fill
a child's
mind this
special  time
of the  year.
