dreaming of her.
Arms and hair fluid as seaweed,
She moved like a goddess from another time,
My red-headed Naiad,
Thetis beneath my skin.
Drowning in the invulnerability
She bathed me in.
My only weakness where she touched,
And I wonder how you lose
The person who's kisses are the only glue
To put you back together
After a night of broken sleep.
The spaces between her fingers,
The holes in the web of her hair
Spread across my skin,
The tattered chain mail memory
I clothe me in.
