A poem about being pro-life
This world you created is not real
For the Mountains and the trees do not feel

Now with authority exercise your right
With one fast swoop and a fatal strike

Cause this rock to bleed red
What was alive is now dead

I didn’t mean to be so discreet
I had no idea we were playing for keeps

Through the whispers of God and the tears of love
All was created from a heaven above

All these tears fall from the sky
All are from an early good-bye

I am sorry for wanting to weep
I had no idea we were playing for keeps

Continue on with your blind operation
I didn’t mean to be an aggravation

There is no need for the vines to be cut
The doctor will strike through your gut

The smell of young flesh stings the air
For in your chest nothing is there

When will we love the meek
And stop playing for keeps
