love and what not..
Chicken Pox of the Heart 11/6/04

I've held you in my arms
never realizing that this desire
to touch you
was a disease
A disease that has no cure
My lips brush yours, but you move away
deciding to let me disappear
in ink as you write me a letter
explaining why this desire can't continue any
longer.
you once said, "Love is like chicken pox, it may not last
but it'll always leave a scar."
This scar you left in me is a birth-mark,
It'll last until my last days
and I'll wonder what could have been
if you hadn't exchanged your heart for
someone else........
that's not me
