Scene:Elizabeth's death

It was the last time I ever saw her; breathing
My beloved Elizabeth
I was so close to her; minutes close to catching her murderer
I heard her strangled scream, faintly,
For it was drowned in the uproar of the crestfallen thunderclouds,
Which rose upon my once-living Elizabeth
I found her hand stretched out
Longing for my own to be placed in it
She lay there in the midst of the room
Cold; stiff; motionless – dead
Tears streamed down my cheeks in unceasing rivers
Then I saw him
As hideous as ever, he was there,
Flashing an inhuman smile at me; the Demon
Yes, he was mocking me for sure,
Pointing a fiendish finger at my darling Elizabeth’s remains
I made a dash for the window
But in a matter of seconds,
He vanished in the darkness like a bolt of lightening
Too late. The Devil escaped
Twilight arose around me, making the sky darker than ever
Forming a shadow over my own life
I just lost someone much more precious than my own soul
More tears trickled down my cheeks
Making the sky a dull, blue blur
But my own life was not over and I had a mission to complete, yet.
Revenge. What could be greater for me than the end of that horrid creature,
Who snatched from me every hope of happiness
Maybe my own life will go on or maybe not
But I’ll make sure that this Fiend’s life will continue not
And this I vow wholeheartedly.
