A gentle reminder that we all need help sometimes
My leg is broke I cannot stand
This is not what I had planned

In September, it broke in two
Making me so very blue

I lay there on the ground
Waiting for help to come around

So independent I thought myself to be
Now I needed these strangers to carry me

I let out many a yelp
For with simple things I've needed help

But it has been a strong reminder
I cannot stand alone
