Sonnet with 4 line intro and ending. About a girl I liked.
Eyes glowing, darkness of pure night
Timid, fearful, scared, source of power
Fair gentle features, flowing beauty
Neglected and abused, made unwhole.
Walk with me, take my arm
I promise shielding from destructive harm
So that you may grow and bloom
Discover yourself, enact your doom
I gaze at you, dream, please
Let us be one, let us ease
Into romance, unsurpassed passion
No promises of wealth, or of fashion
Poor love, humble devotion
All we need to maintain our motion
Wait, I will, for you until
Panic subsides, doubts be stilled
Dear Lady, deer lady, gentleness is you
If only others understood it too
Then happiness and elation, content
Never again would you ever relent.
Fortitude, sureness emitting
Exhaling sour stagnation
Cultivate determination
Unyielding strength, ironic love.
