Poem about my daughter growing up
My Precious Little Girl

Oh beautiful little girl were the first thoughts of mine.
Holding you, and protecting you, I thought for all time.

Watching you take your first steps were hard on me.
I knew that would be the first of many of your falls to see.

You were my little princess in her ballerina shoes dancing all day long.
also in those tattered jeans playing n' singing your little song.

My little girl is growing now ... life sometimes tough -- it appears to be.
With a broken spirit and wounded soul ... wishing at times you could be free

Your life's journey will be full of many bumps and curves in the road.
Always full of surprises around each and every bend
sometimes overwhelming and sometimes even feeling an overload.

Believe this forever and always. On any given day...
Sweetheart, honey, precious dear daughter of mine
always know in your heart I was never never far away.
