A 55 word micro fiction about a man with priority issues.
“She’s probably pissed,” I whispered when I realized my home was dark as death. It’s our fourth anniversary and I wasted it working late. I grabbed her flowers and went inside to face the music.

She was asleep so I turned on the light, ditched the flowers, and saw her note.

“Dinner’s in the fridge.”
