It's about my mom
At the worst of the times she’s always been there
Her beauty’s incredible her green eyes and brown hair
Her mood always uplifting, her smile always grand
Whenever I needed, she grabbed me by hand.

Never letting me fail, without a try to succeed
Teaching me it’s not always bad when you bleed
Telling me her secrets, and all of her lies
Often complaining about the size of her thighs

Telling me always she loves me so
Reminding me often when it’s her time to go
Nothing will change; She will still be there
Whenever I need her it don’t matter where

When I get married to the man that I love
She’ll sit back all quiet, day dreaming of
The times that we’ve had and the times to come
Like my very first Christmas drinking egg nog with rum

The good times to bad, and the bad times to good
When money was scant, with pride she stood
Although we were not rich, we were not poor
She would always give when one came to the door

With nothing stronger than the bond of a lass and mother
There’s no one that’s closer not even my brother
Sometimes it’s nice to know she needs me
Forever and always her best friend I’ll be
