Sometimes, even when completly alone, with absolute certainty we know we're not.
Were you there with me last night?
Your presense was tangible.
I knew you were close, your presence intense. This room we shared our passion lingers.

In subtle ways you'll never leave.
Your opening the window, no sleep without breeze.
Your clothes remain in an olfactory place.
Were you here with me last night?

Can a room resound with your departed laughter?
DVD's watched lying there, your shaking head.
All now discarded, dusty, beneath the bed.
What were you telling me last night?

The night we parted the tears we shed.
Our house is empty, now bereft of you
Through salting eyes I'll look again.
Come tonight to were we've lain
