I suppose it has to do with destiny and some betrayal, not sure. I never thought about it.
When they spoke of a legend
Did you know who it'd be?
When they spoke of a legend
Did you know they meant me?
Now they speak of this legend
Who will die in the sea
Now they speak of this legend
I am not what they foresee

When they spoke of my fate
Did you know I would die?
When they spoke of my fate
Did you know I wouldn't try?
Now they speak of my fate
Like it isn’t one big lie
Now they speak of my fate
And I refuse to cry

When they spoke of a legend
Did you know who it'd be?
When they spoke of a legend
Did you they meant me?
Now they speak of this legend
Who came from the sea
Now they speak of this legend
Oh Gods, they mean me

When they spoke of my death
Did you know I would bleed?
When they spoke of my death
Did you know by who it was decreed?
Now they speak of my death
Like it was by my own lead
Now they speak of my death
Ridden with your poison seed

When they spoke of the legend
Did you know who it'd be?
When they spoke of the legend
Why didn't you tell me?
Now I am their legend
Embalmed in the sea
Now I am their legend
Betrayed by the sea.
