Can this world be two things at once? Yes.
Hard and Hopeful

This world is hard
         Bruised emotions
         Lost love
         Warring countries
         Rampant disease

Yet,
So full of hope
         Fresh spring flowers
         New love
         A strangers help
         Birth

This world is hard
         A lost child
         Cancer
         Starving babies
         Homelessness

Yet,
So full of hope
         Elderly couples holding hands
         Medical cures
         Scientific discoveries
         Peace treaties

This world is hard yet so full of hope
