Pain finds a home in the dark
Cries in the Night
a Quintilla with aabba rhyme scheme


Cries echo through the quiet night -
Silent sufferings scream, "Not right!"
Thunder rips the sky in despair;
Storms of weeping sorrow declare,
No comfort ever found in sight.


Note: The quintilla is a five-line stanza with eight-syllable lines and one of four rhyme schemes: a-b-a-b-a, a-b-b-a-b, a-b-a-a-b or a-a-b-b-a.
