Some thoughts to share ~~ because you and me make two..
Said the teacher to her student,

Said the wife to her spouse,

Said the son to the father, as he ran from the house;

Haven't we all once said to someone~~

Emotionally wrecked by the utter frustration~~

And having traveled this pathway of purpose

Discover our efforts have come to no avail,

We're paused in perplexing confusion,

Unsure further effort wouldn't add up as a fail (gasp!),

("You can't understand what kids are saying these days. They've got their own language, made up new words, and say nonsense words for conversation . . . .")

(His guardian angel mumbled under his breath, "Cool Daddy-O,
Can you dig it? Squaresville man. Nowhere. Mr. Nowhere man . . .
Is nowhere around here, is he?"
Peculiar for a guardian angel to be sarcastic.)

"Conversations take two individuals,
And at least two sets of functioning ears,
A willingness in both to get language flowing,
But your attention surely isn't here!"

"Don't call me Shirley."

The struggle of understanding
That which we've not lived
Needs a receptive heart with focus
If we're to share memories that really live.
