About trying to help my mom
Describe the hands of a person close or important to you.
2. Describe what he or she is doing with the hands.
3. Use a metaphor to say something about some exotic place.
4. Mention what you would want to ask this person in the context of 2 and 3 above.
5. The person looks up at you, notices you there, gives an answer that suggests he or she only gets part of what you asked.

Mother may I?

So small, so petite, and smooth as a baby bottoms each finger appears to be,
weaving each end of the felt and completing the loops of the blanket to tie it off.
Her hands keep going as if they were speeds of a roller coaster
going down the top of a hill in an amusement park on a beautiful summer day.
Non-stop and continuing on she goes
I sit as amazed of the time and the patients my mom has,
for making these blankets.
The effort is not gone unnoticed, as she slaves away as she completes
one side of the blanket only three more to go.
I ask, “Can I help you mother dear?”
She responds, “You want to go make dinner for me?”
Sure, mumbling to myself, holding my head low and off to the kitchen I go
each step forth like a dog with its tail between its leg.
Thanks sons she says I love you for your help!
