This poem was inspired by life
As we climb
To the top
Of the mountain of life
Bringing with us
The few things
That we truly cherish
We know as sure as
Death will come
That our new view will
Illuminate our soul
All the things we come to cherish
All we carried along the way
Will stand small
Sure to perish
From our minds
In the light of the new view
At the end
And then true living begins
