In my dreams I often revisit strangers that I saw that day. I often run into them again.
Excuse me miss
I don’t think that we’ve ever met.
Could you please tell me the time?
Though I really think
I know you from somewhere.
Maybe this is just all in my mind.

I swear I saw your face
In a window somewhere,
Trying to force through your lips your last goodbyes.
I swear sometimes I taste
The gloss on your lips.
Of course it is quite possible that it is all in my mind.

Excuse me miss
I don’t think that we’ve ever felt
The intricate, quite fascinating tangle of embrace.
Though I really think
I have felt you before.
I do not understand these feelings that I cannot trace.

But I know I know that touch
And the feel of your hands.
Sliding slowly my spine as your nails cut my skin.
I know that I cannot
Seem to wash away the blood
That you drained from me that night. It doesn’t make sense.

An image that you etched in my brain
Tells me that we’ve met before.
The letters that you carved in my skin
Tell me that we’ve met before.
Your touch tells me that we’ve met
