about someone who was beautiful in everyway
my sweetheart, you are so precious and treasured
you have these lips of burgandy that
have grazed mine too many times
and i can't stop thinking about the time
i will touch them again
you amber eyes pass by
holding that mystery, that your lips imitate
and i want to lean in close and smell
those sweet spices that remind me of a faraway land
the place where you are from
your love is like no other i've ever been through
running your hands all over my heart
but always there to kiss me and whisper my name
you smile at me, not quite knowing how to say what you want to
but i know it's all planned out in your head
and you would tell me what you really feel if you could

you hum a little melody, and i wonder where you heard it
it's just there to fill the space devoid
of all the things we want to say to each other
but don't want to ruin what we have
i know it's wrong, and we're doing more bad than good
but take me by the hand, just one more time
and take me to that faraway land where you're from
and show me who you are
so i can hold you,
forever in my heart
