A moment of clarity. The question being whether its due to the storm passing or in the Eye.
The crossroads seemed a daunting place
Better perhaps to rest a pace
Convinced myself the storm would pass
I’d see the world and we would last
Again

Savaged pride and ravaged tongue
Stilled my legs and would not run
Finally tired of giving in
Perhaps it’s simply time to begin…
Again

Cloudy water, dusty road
Empty heart and broken soul
Lost the life I’ll never see
Let the past follow me

Hear the voice that sets you free
Take my hand and come with me
As we wander through this old frontier
Can we break away from all this fear…
Again

Can we rekindle our long dead flame?
Reinstitute the lies and blame?
Lovers come and Heroes go
A one knight stand no longer glows

Open water, open road
The past has passed its time to go
Lost the strife I allowed to be
Buried the pain I put in me

Know the voice that sets you free
Find your path don’t follow me
As I wander through this new frontier
I pray I never come back through here
Again…
