A poem about a prominent heavenly object we see each and every day.
Enkindle, Phoebus

Appeasing, incandescent fingers creep
On tepid beds whither slumber reigns;
Gilded orb aloft mystic Elysian fields,
Herald of novel gests that ne'er wane.

Time saunters round sidereal day;
On airy throne you mirthfully chant,
Jovial warbles that zealously hold sway
Of heavenly virtues that forever enchant.

An emboldened, godly painter creates
A riffling canvas of unearthly hues.
Drowning in lively heights with diurnal fates
You bid farewell till darkness unveils.
