An imaginary day in my life....
Pecking me at five in the morning is my egret, cute
in the sweater Leger knitted
not knowing he'd get pineapple juice all over it in the first few
eighths of a second. I wake up from his pecking only to find a...
a...cat devouring the tidbits! That Cat won't get far;
Pineapple is a commodity in the Stik Tent, one that's highly coveted.
Purring happily is Cat when he's caught by my love who also wants to eat
lots of the delicious fruit. Uh oh!
Everyone run from the looming egret, feline and human squabble!
Raking noises dominate the tent as the three males duke it out for the
ultimate prize...breakfast! I, meanwhile, look above and beg,
leaving hope that I can buy that plantation to grow enough pineapple for
eons; those three would wolf down the whole crop in five seconds, I tell ye!
Still, that's the price I pay to live with these three wonderful guys. Do I like it? You bet!

This warped poem stemmed from a dare raised by kittiara at "Invalid Item . When she gave me the prompt, it took me very little time to write a poem that combined the reason for my frequent mentions of pineapple in scroll, my scroll pet (Edward the Egret) and the Stik Tent, which is my imaginary dwelling in scroll. Scroll regulars will get many of the jokes mentioned in this poem and will happily explain them to those that are confused...well, I hope, anyway*Laugh*.
