The smile of an old friend inspired me when I saw his smile again, after ten years.
It has been quite a while
Since last we saw each other.
I thought I had remembered,
But again, my memory has deceived me.

How could I forget
Something so amazing,
Absolutely extraordinary,
So truly breathtaking.

Its very existence, so beautiful,
that it could make
A dreary day become bright,
The heavens above open in glory,
A grown woman fall to her knees in ecstasy.

My very thoughts ceased,
My words stopped cold,
And the wild pounding of my heart
Skipped a beat.

I have now learned my lesson,
My memory refreshed anew,
From now on, I will never forget,
Can never forget,
That divine, incredible, smile
That could come from only you.
