A Christian poem directed towards all of us who are not living openly about our faith.

Teardrops rolling down her face,
Longing to fill her heart’s empty space.
Lost and lonely, searching, confused
Life has left her broken, bruised.
Reaching for approval, possessions and lies,
Finding that nothing she has satisfies.
Blinded by sin, not seeing the way,
It’s only through Jesus that she can be saved.

As Christians we know the purpose of life,
But our silence condemns others to pain and strife.
Those like her live among us, and don’t even know,
The wonderful truth we choose not to show.
Speak up, shout out, talk to them as a friend,
Broken hearts will heal and mend.
It’s very serious, with each taken breath,
A person somewhere chooses life or death.
Our calling is to show them the way,
To tell them the debt of their sin has been paid.
Jesus died and rose again,
So they could be free from the bondage of sin.
Take seriously this race we must run,
And reach out to the lost until life’s journey is done.
