Ode to A Great Lady
We knew little that morning that God
was going to call your name. In life
we loved you dearly, in death we do the
same. It broke our hearts to lose you,
but you did not go alone, for part of us
went with you, the day God called you
home. You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide, and
though we cannot see you, you are
always at our side. Our family chain
seems forever broken, and that nothing
will ever be the same, but as God calls
us home one by one, that chain will once
be whole again. We love and miss your sweet
and kind face, but I know your in His
loving grace. God's mercy and love is
forever triumphant, and knowing you
are in His loving arms will always give
us comfort.
