"As the lights immobilize my every sense..."
Lights
01/27/04

Resurgence into loss I’ve known before -
Tasting simple dreams and wanting more -
The vastness of this empty blackness silences
My pitiful pursuits, by using violences,
To sway the course my selfish stars have chosen
Which leaves my heart alone, completely broken.
The hushed, harmonious space in which I dwell
Which was to me an agonizing hell,
As I concede into some willed acceptance,
Becomes a place of pacifistic balance.
I find that since my preordained surrender
Heart and mind can only scarce remember
As the lights immobilize my every sense
The days in which I was at pain’s dispense.
