Workday Blues

Eating, sitting, drinking
I’ve got nothing to do, what “should” I be doing?
I can’t even think, I’m bored stiff
Ah, someone’s cooking, pew! What a whiff!

Listening, chatting, talking
I’ve got nothing to do other than gawking
Why is everyone here on a stupid diet?
There’s just never any peace and quiet

Typing, walking, clicking,
I’ve got nothing to do, just relaxing
Phone rings. It’s a wrong number
Blast! Back to my quiet slumber

Tic, tock, goes the clock
I’ve got nothing to do, what a shock
Is anyone looking? I hope I don’t snore
I can’t even hide behind a door.

Desiring, imagining, daydreaming
I’ve got nothing to do just a little scheming
I wonder if I should find a new job
What benefits are offered by the mob?

Speculating, anticipating, waiting
I’ve got nothing to do but skating
I think I might have a hunch.
Yep, its noon! Let’s go to lunch.
