This is my one and only sorry attempt at poetry!
When I gave birth to my first child,
The angels sang her name,
The stars lit up when she smiled,
And life was not the same.

My second daughter gave me pause,
Her halo not so bright,
Coping with her much-loved flaws,
Has been my guiding light.

The third and final baby girl,
Was happy as could be,
Her head a mass of rowdy curls,
Her laughter filled with glee

Having children changed my world,
I’d trade it for no other,
Around my soul they have curled,
My name, of course, is Mother!
