part of an english project....similar to my last poem "Breaking"
As I’m sitting here thinking
Not knowing what to feel
I’m sitting here wondering
and wishing this wasn’t real

I don’t know why this happened
or why it’s happening to us
But I tell myself each day
That I must live, I simply must.

This girl who once was filled with love
this girl I used to be
the love I had for everyone
No one will ever see

With all the things they’re doing to us
I don’t think they understand
That all the people and children out there
Have no one to hold their hand

Mama please forgive me
For all this hatred I’ve found
But it’s getting scarier everyday
Without a family to be around

As I’m sitting here shaking
from the tears that I’ve cried
my heart is still breaking
to know all these people have died
